Saturday brings Pride Week fully to street level.
The day begins with the Treaty 7 Dyke and Trans March, carrying dyke and trans visibility from The Confluence into Inglewood. From there, the March opens into an all-ages public gathering filled with queer and trans performers, live music, drag, community voices, family programming, and room to gather in public.
As the sun lowers, the site shifts into Glam on Tap, followed by a late-night party inside Cold Garden.
It is a march with somewhere to land, a neighbourhood ready to gather, and a full day built around celebration, resistance, connection, and being gloriously visible in public.

Internationally recognized drag artist and Canada’s Drag Race Season 4 finalist Denim (she/her) headlines the Treaty 7 Dyke and Trans March showcase with a style that fuses futuristic club-kid fashion, performance art and fearless transmasculine self-expression.
Known for high-concept looks, sculptural silhouettes and a stage presence that feels equal parts fashion editorial and controlled detonation, Denim keeps pushing drag past the expected and into something stranger, sharper and far more interesting.

The next generation is taking the stage first. Rising Royalty is a youth drag showcase featuring Reading Royalty and Shane On You, kicking off the afternoon with big imagination, fresh talent and proof that queer creativity does not need to wait for adulthood to get spectacular.

The Treaty 7 Dyke and Trans March Showcase brings the March to the stage with drag, live music, poetry, storytelling and performance from a stacked lineup of queer and trans artists.
Featuring Jackal Morose, The Dingle, Rudy Tuesday, Lanny & SallieMae of BaklaBayan, Kate Dianna, Veg Vixen, Marcia Law and Lola Jett.
Then, the future arrives wearing Denim. Denim, Canada’s Drag Race Season 4 finalist, headlines the showcase with futuristic fashion, high-concept drag and fearless transmasculine self-expression.
This is where the March lands, the stage lights come on and dyke and trans visibility gets the microphone.

Calgary garage-rock trio The Corey Hotline brings hot, heavy rock ’n’ roll, big hooks and queer energy to the afternoon. Fronted by trans musician Mason Jenkins, this is Pride with the amplifier switched firmly on.

Nada Nuff takes the wheel with Angelina Starchild, Tana Nuff, El Rey del Sol and Dayna Hart.
Expect live vocals, comedy, choreography, tricks, dips, glamour and enough personality to make the rest of 9 Avenue look slightly underdressed.

Flex Appeal is an ’80s-inspired queer arm-wrestling showdown where dramatic stare-downs are encouraged, swagger counts and bragging rights become alarmingly important.

Glam on Tap takes over the patio with drag, burlesque, DJs, dancing and an after-dark lineup built for big looks, big performances and absolutely no reason to call it an early night.

Dayna Hart is a high-energy Calgary drag performer known as the “Dancing Diva” and “Ebony Princess of Calgary.” With tricks, splits, dips and plenty of attitude, she brings movement, charisma and full-throttle performance energy to the stage.

Award-winning spoken word artist and self-described Poet Provocateur The Dingle pairs clever wordplay with heartfelt storytelling and wonderfully feral stage energy. A former Canadian Independent Poetry Slam finalist, they create performances that can be hilarious, poignant and deeply thoughtful, sometimes before the hula hoop even appears.

El Rey del Sol is a Mexican drag king serving suave lover-boy charm, camp humour and plenty of swagger. Blending dance, lyrics and theatrical performance, he brings a playful mix of softness and bravado to the stage, proving masculinity has considerably more range when you stop taking it so seriously.

The Glamour Demon of Moh’kins’stis, Jackal Morose blends live vocals, custom-designed looks, theatrical horror and high-fashion spectacle. A two-time Alberta’s Next Drag Superstar finalist, they create bold, cinematic drag where Broadway wanders into the shadows and returns dressed considerably better.

Kate Dianna

Kate Dianna is a solo folk and punk-rock artist writing from the wonderfully complicated intersection of gender, transition, burnout and becoming. Drawing inspiration from artists including Against Me!, La Dispute, Glen Hansard and The Who, Kate pairs raw storytelling with an edge that refuses to sand itself down. She also performs as vocalist and guitarist with Amaryllis.

Kenna Burima

Kenna Burima is a singer, songwriter, pianist, composer, producer, educator and collaborator whose work moves easily between classical music, cabaret, pop, rock and jazz. A longtime force in Calgary’s performing arts community, she creates across stages, studios, public singalongs and collaborative productions with equal curiosity.

For Flex Appeal, Rabbyt brings the soundtrack to the showdown: part dance floor, part ’80s sports montage, part extremely queer competitive theatre.
