Back to the Streets kicks off with queer community, friendly competition, cold drinks and the deeply satisfying experience of sending a bowl exactly where you meant to. Or somewhere vaguely nearby. Precision is a spectrum.
Hosted by Western Cup, this easy-going Friday tournament brings 90 players together at the Inglewood Lawn Bowling Club to play, eat, drink and officially get Pride Weekend rolling.

And when the last bowl stops rolling, Friday absolutely does not. The party keeps moving at High Line Tap Room for the official after party, because apparently one lawn can only contain us for so long.
Registration includes your spot in the tournament, two drinks from Cold Garden + High Line Brewing, a locally made Inglewood meal and snacks, and a DJ providing the soundtrack while everyone demonstrates varying interpretations of athletic excellence.

Apollo Friends in Sports is a volunteer-led nonprofit creating inclusive sport, recreation, and social opportunities for Calgary’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and allies. Founded in 1981, Apollo brings people together through sport, community, and connection.
Western Cup is North America’s longest-running inclusive multi-sport festival. Western Cup welcomes athletes, supporters, and community members for competition, camaraderie, and the kind of friendships that tend to outlast the final score.
