Because that is how community is made.
Show up as an artist, a business, a volunteer, a dancer, an ice cream eater, a patio sitter, a first-timer, or the friend who somehow knows everyone. Show up loudly, quietly, early, late, or exactly as you are. Community gets made when people arrive and bring a little of themselves with them.
Below is the working schedule for September 5 and 6. More artists, performances, times, locations, ticket links, access details, and neighbourhood happenings will be added as they are confirmed.
Check back. The street is still making arrangements.

Saturday begins where Pride has always known how to begin: in the street.
The Treaty 7 Dyke & Trans Marchbrings dyke and trans visibility, protest, care, community power, leather jackets, practical footwear, and the time-honoured queer tradition of refusing to behave quietly before landing in Inglewood.
Route, gathering time, access details, and the participation details are coming soon. For now: bring your people, bring your voice, and arrive ready to take up space.

When the March lands, Inglewood turns itself inside out.
Presented by Calgary Pride, the neighbourhood opens into an all-ages afternoon of queer and trans performance, drag, music, storytelling, artists, markets, family programming, patios, local businesses, and enough community energy to derail your original plans completely.
Cold Gardenbecomes the central gathering hub as Pride spills into the stage, sidewalks, storefronts, taproom, and every available corner around it.
Watch something. Make something. Eat something. Meet someone.
Come for the March. Stay because the street got interesting.

Saturday night puts on lashes.
Glam on Tap: Sunset Drag Show brings an 18+ collision of drag, live performance, music, dancing, and sunset-level drama to Cold Garden.
When the outdoor show wraps, the party keeps moving inside, because going home while the eyeliner is still intact would be a terrible waste.
The artist lineup, tickets, entry details, and access information are still coming.
Come for the show. Stay because leaving can’t compete.

Saturday morning is prime wandering territory.
Meander through Inglewood and let the neighbourhood make better plans for you. Expect markets, free workshops, local art, tattoo flash, shops, patios, family-friendly activities, Pride offers, small-business treasures, and rainbow wall hangings that are absolutely, unquestionably, definitely not flags.
Many of these neighbourhood activations will be happening throughout both Saturday and Sunday, so consider this your chance to catch what you missed, revisit a favourite, or surrender your plans to a particularly persuasive storefront..
Many of these neighbourhood activations will be happening throughout both Saturday and Sunday, so consider this your first chance to explore, not your only one.
We’ll launch the complete list of participating businesses, activities, locations, and details on the website soon.
Local business bringing something excellent to the weekend? Bring it to the street and tell us what you’ve got.
Start somewhere. Take the scenic route. Let the neighbourhood take it from there.

Black Pride YYC turns up the joy with Calgary’s only festival dedicated to celebrating Black 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
Free, family-friendly, and created by and for Black queer communities while welcoming allies, families, and the wider city, Black Pride Festival brings live music, drag and cultural performances, DJs, local artists, food, wellness, small businesses, community organizations, and plenty of reasons to stay longer than planned.
Come for the culture. Stay for the connection. Celebrate loudly, because Black queer joy was never meant for indoor voices.
-
Black Pride YYC keeps the celebration moving with Versions, bringing house music, DJs, dancing, and a community-built dance floor that knows a holiday Monday is not a curfew.
This is not the part where the weekend politely winds down. It is the part where the bass gets involved, strangers become dance-floor neighbours, and “one more song” develops a lengthy résumé.
The full lineup, location, ticketing, access information, and after-party details are still coming.
Save some energy, wear shoes with a future, and let the long weekend keep doing its job.
No one takes the street alone.
Our event partners bring the march, the music, the places to gather, the cultural programming, the neighbourhood connections, and the community power that take Back to the Streets from idea to asphalt.
